This building was originally Thomas McNeely's second general store and was built in 1891. In 1893, the telephone exchange was located in the building. When Thomas McNeely died in 1900, his wife Annie sold the McNeely Store property in 1902 to Marshall Smith but she retained ownership of the building. In 1907 Marshall Smith moved his business across the street. One side of the building was then converted into an annex for the Delta Hotel (the annex later became the Riverview Hotel) while the other side became McNeely Hall in 1909 where over the following 15 years it would be used for social events and wartime fundraisers.
