Notes: Title based on the identification of the aircraft model and date estimated based on other dates within the album. According to military historian Michael DesMazes, "This is... Liberator “VA” better known as EW128 (the RCAF and RAF designation for this individual aircraft) “VA” was the second 5 OTU Unit code applied to EW128. The first was simply “A”. Later the camo paint was removed and a new code letter (VA) applied. Most of the 59 B-24s used by 5 O.T.U had a second code letter applied by wars end. EW 127 was one of the first liberators to arrive at Boundary Bay being taken on strength April 12th 1944. (there were 4 ahead of it in the seniority list but it likely arrived about the same time). EW128 would survive the entire war at 5 O.T.U. and finally be Struck Off Strength (SOS) 16th Oct 1945. This final deed was done while in storage at RCAF Abbotsford where many of the 5 O.T.U. Libs were scrapped right on the tarmac c1946-47."
